According to the European Commission, women account for approximately 30% of all self-employed in Europe. Playing catchup, they have been launching new businesses at a faster rate than men in recent years.
In Asia there is a growing movement to support and promote women’s entrepreneurship in the region. According to a report by the Asian Development Bank, women entrepreneurs could potentially create 62 million new jobs and add $4.5 trillion to the region’s GDP by 2025 if given the right support and resources.
